A: PriceWatch.com.au is what is considered a "Price Comparison Service" or a "Price Search Engine". What we do is list products from a wide range of suppliers, so that you the consumer can make a well-informed buying decision, saving you Time, Effort, and Money.
Q: How much does it cost?A: Our service is provided absolutely FREE to consumers, so you are free to search our database via this site at any time, as often as you like.
Q: If it's free, how does PriceWatch make its money?A: PriceWatch makes its money by charging a monthly subscription to suppliers to list their products. Every supplier is charged at the same rate, so all results from your search are untainted and unbiased. We are NOT in the business of "sponsored" advertising, where suppliers who pay more, appear higher up in the results.
Q: Can I assume as a consumer, that I will not have any problems with any of the suppliers on your database?A: Keep in mind that the products listed are advertisements, and while PriceWatch does require suppliers to "apply" in order to list products, and does its best to select reputable, quality suppliers, it is up to you to qualify them when making your purchase.
Q: I ordered Product X from Supplier Y, and instead I got Product Z, what are you going to do about it?A: As outlined in the previous answer, all products listed are advertisements, just like any Magazine, or other publication. Suppliers are responsible for their own service levels.
Q: I heard that the new Product X just got released, why isn't it listed on PriceWatch yet?A: New products are released very frequently, and therefore take some time to become popular. Suppliers decide themselves which products they wish to list with us, and therefore usually limit their products to popular and quick moving items.
